"The Red Piller's Guide to Women"

You are right. I have an AP Royal Oak Offshore and an AP Diver...I also used to have a Patek Nautilus.

The only people who ever recognized those were watch enthusiasts.

For women, or hell most men? It might as well be a casio. That's kinda why I sold the Patek, was too much money for a watch that looked that boring.

But a Rolex? You can have the cheapest lamest Rolex from 30 years ago that you can get your hands on, and you'll still have a higher SMV Boost, than if you had a $100K Richard Mille on your wrist.

There is a reason Rolex has the best brand resale value. If you buy a Rolex, you can wear it for 5 years, then sell it for the same amount. All other luxury watches, you'll lose 20-50% over the same time frame.

As far as which model...well the Submariner is a classic. Everyone recognizes them.

Hell you don't even need to buy the real deal. My friend has a fake Rolex. Now fakes are very easy to recognize, the quality is just terrible, and there are obvious tells(even with the top of the line fakes, although some of them are scary accurate...but you don't see a lot of those since very few people want to spend $500 on a fake watch)...but here is the thing, only watch enthusiasts will recognize them...most women never will. My friend's Rolex is a piece of shit...it's a quartz, has a misaligned date, has no lume, has a wrong font and the text is just wrong for the model...obviously it has a lot of other tells, but if you look or even touch it, it feels like a $5 watch you get in a box of cereal. Hell, it doesn't even RUN!

But none of that matters, when a chick notices that it's a "ROLEX" you can see his SMV rise in her eyes.
