My girlfriend (we'll call her B)'s brother. He behaves with absolutely no empathy for another person.
Once chased B out of the house and down the street with an axe when he was about 12
He burned down their house when he was 12 or so (he "only" meant to burn his mother's couch, but he couldn't control the fire).
He constantly leaves garbage in random places. Hides wrappers in the couch, trash in drawers seldom used.
Makes enormous messes and refuses to clean after himself.
There's this mentally challenged guy who lives on her street (35, but functioning at about a 8 year old) and he befriended him. The only time I really saw them interact he drove the poor guy to tears by pushing his buttons and saying things to hurt him purposely while laughing about it.
Put a hole through a wall with his head in anger
Tried to break down my B's door with a hammer when she wouldn't give him her glue gun
Steals everything. Stole B's new headphones and won't give them back. We're certain he stole hundred's of dollars from his mom (who for some reason used to keep hundreds in her purse at all times), fairly sure he stole a laptop from Walmart, and an iPod from a kid in his class
Will smoke or drink in the house (he's underage) and will only kind of try to hide it. When he's caught he outright doesn't care. (We've tried getting police help, but they don't seem to ever respond for some reason, I guess 17 year old smoking pot and drinking is too common?)
Once dumped a bag of insulation dust on his mother because she told him to stop playing in the attic as he was making a mess dropping insulin all over the house, proceeded to pour liters of soda on the floor, go into her room and dump her cabinets out and trash the house
Threatens to murder B and their mom if he ends up going to jail
No one knows what to do. We've tried everything from counseling to juvi to threatening calling police (and even followed through. Again, no cops showed up) but he doesn't listen. He doesn't do his share around the house, he does whatever he wants, whenever he wants and damned be the consequences. When he burned the house down, he went to a mental institution for a little over a year. He was doing better when he was released, but has slowly becoming worse and worse, more like he was when he caused the fire and chased B out of the house with the axe. But he hasn't hit anyone yet, so there's really nothing we can do to prevent it from happening... I'm genuinely afraid for B, I'm afraid that he may hurt her or worse.
