It wasn't in person but I witnessed a rather nuclear reaction to a quite tame joke.

We had a text group chat for our raid members. Often we'd joke and poke fun at one another. Wasn't really out of the ordinary for us. In fact the best part of playing with these sons of bitches was the fun we had dicking around with each other.

On this day however, one of our members decided he was going to remove everyone from his friend's list. He refused to respond to anyone because another one of our members suggested that he "change his pad" since he seemed a little grumpy that day.

It turned into 2 weeks of the silent treatment while we gave him the space he needed. From our perspective, it felt like a huge overreaction for him to want to burn down 10+ years of friendship over a bad day.
