In some ways I actually kind of understand why the advice on that sub is “dump them” so often. A lot of the time the posts on there are made by people who put their problems online as a sort of last resort in a relationship that really isn’t doing so good.

That being said, people still jump to dumping as a solution way too often for problems that could be worked on and talked about.

That sub also seems to often wish death upon and hate cheaters. While I don’t condone infidelity, reddit acts like it’s something a relationship can never ever come back from, and if your boyfriend/girlfriend flirts with someone online, you should ditch them immediately even if you’ve been in a great relationship for 10+ years before that.
