Reddit is getting WOKE AF.

That's what I thought too. "Boy, what a mess the Republicans are having. And they have a doctor and a businessman in their midst? They're not even all congressmen?" But I've come around to that practice and actually kind of support it.

It's a weeding out sort of thing. The Republican party and its voters are used to this type of thing now that they've got a history of going through it. They're literally taking an entire population of those that want to run and giving them a shot and overtime they remove each one that doesn't meet what they need. The people have shown that they want someone with a business like mind for efficiency and efficacy and a proven track record, and they want someone that understands the level of corruption in Washington via lobbyists, but has not succumbed to it. The people have shown that they want someone that isn't afraid to say what needs to be said even if it may sound bad and be seen as unpopular, and they want someone that has drive to fight for America and say no to other nations regardless of who they may be. Had the Republicans only had two or three - even four - candidates I don't think that they would have ever filled that niche and I don't think that they would have had someone that had the ability to dominate a near guaranteed president with unbelievable name recognition like Clinton. (Think about it, she had all of the advantages and he still won by a strong electoral difference. I feel like the average voter would have a hard time naming the two senators from their state and a representative - let alone a senator from another state excluding the ones that are active in media.) I think that Jeb(!), Rubio, or Cruz (in the order of least to most likely) would have been nominated and that the Republicans would have lost the Presidency, possible the Senate, and maybe even as bad as the House - which means they also lost the Supreme Court (big time because Hillary would make nominations not even close to moderate). Trump brought attention and serious consideration to the Republican party and brought back the loyalty of disenfranchised Republican voters as well as a strong percentage of those that lean left. I sincerely believe that he saved the Republican party from a slow and drawn out death and that they don't even know it.

And, as funny as it sounds, I think that the Democrats are kind of in a lose-lose situation at this point. If they have two or three contenders like they did last time, they're falling into the same trap. But the party is such a mess that I wouldn't surprised in the slightest if they had numerous announcements of runners and that each one held a radical view that would strongly push away other Democrats and central voters. Just picking a DNC head is chaos right now and you have serious contenders that are throwing out things like "stop other white people" and you have a tainted record of corrupt head after corrupt head. Congressional endorsements may mean nothing now because a good chunk of the big name ones have a big name because of foul play or disdainful views (like Wasserman-Schulz or Pelosi) and the no names are just that, no names. A Sanders endorsement is maybe the best someone could hope for and even then, they just lost those votes that didn't like his very socialistic message and his endorsement still kind of hurt them - it only cemented the population of super strong Sanders supporters, which they would have had anyway.

I think the Democrats have not only dug their own grave but also hopped into it and just started digging deeper. The extremes of their party are demanding that their extreme candidate be nominated and they are not going to take a different person. I think the Democrats will survive, but they will not be strong and they will have some very rough times ahead.

If Trump continues at the level that he is right now, I think he will have a very strong chance at reelection and that he will still fight with the same fervor that he had with this one. I think that Don Jr. serves as somewhat of a de facto head of the Trump Organization, that he will gain the title being the head, that he will get several years of running a very successful company under his belt, that Eric Trump will take over as head, and that Don Jr. runs for either Mayor (depending on Bloomberg at that time) or for a congressional seat (my money would be on Senator). After a term or two of that, he aims for President.

Call it bold and far too daring to make such predictions so early, but I'm just saying that I called the nomination early on, Cruz coming back, him not being hurt by that stupid Khan business, him not being hurt by those stupid tapes, winning the Presidency (though that was admittedly late game) Michigan, Wisconsin, I leaned strongly on the idea of Pennsylvania going red and Minnesota being close, Hillary getting a strong number of faithless electors, Carson, Romney not getting Secretary of State, that CNN would lose its pass (I could easily see it going further), and him moving forward with both the wall and keeping true to fighting for term limits.

If I may bore others with more predictions that will make me look like an arrogant ass, I also believe that the wall will be built and that Mexico will ultimately be signing the check, that within a few years there is a strong possibility of Clinton being in front of a judge, we see more Mexican immigrants voting Republican than we saw this election, we see Minnesota, Nevada, and Colorado flipping next election (if things go well), and him winning by over 310 next election unless they have a super popular candidate that is middle of the road. (Even then, I see him winning.)
