Reddit, what does England think of all of this Beatlemania? Is it as big, as in the United States?

The Beatles have never not been relevant. They have more fans now than they have ever had at any other point.

As a young child in Liverpool I thought the Beatles were still around, like they were the same age in the 90's and looked like they did in the 60's. It's almost like being related to them, like I expected them to come round for tea one night and it would be like having your cousins

The Beatles were the standard in every band I ever played in, the Beatles were what we aspired to be in some small way. Obviously the musical styles were different, but specifically the flow and harmony between band mates. (Not so much at the end there but things change, nobody holds on to it forever).

To me there's only a few other bands who've even been on that level. One of them is the Grateful Dead who I rate above the Beatles on person taste despite the fact it should be the Beatles.
