I want to share one of mine, I've had many throughout the course of my 25 years on this earth, but one in particular that stands out to me is when I was 12 years old at my grade schools church. To give you a little background, I grew up and went to a catholic private school my entire life, and this particular spiritual experience began during a sacrament that I was receiving, the sacrament of Confirmation. To be clear, this is the sacrament where you are being blessed with receiving the Holy Spirit, so you can imagine why this has an even more profound effect on me and just helps confirm my understanding that this didn't just happen and things don't just happen by chance.

Well during mass, I started to lose my vision. Little by little everything was coming together into darkness until my entire vision was black, although I was still fully conscious of everything happening around me. Being a 12 year old at the time, I begin to panic a little bit, starting to reach my hands out for the pew in front of me to find some balance and so I can take a seat because I was really disoriented. I took a seat for a moment, closed my eyes even though I couldn't see anything anyways, but still I took a minutes to collect my breath and collect myself, just repeating to myself "It's okay, it's okay, you're fine, it's fine". A few minutes goes by, and pieces of my vision start to come back, almost as if it's a bunch of puzzle pieces going back into order to make a picture. As this happens, I look around at the people around me, and here's where things start to get really crazy. I'm not sure if any of you remember images of was Christ looks like, and how he always has a golden aura around his head, actually many prominent spiritual beings have this description, Buddha, Krishna, etc, but EVERY SINGLE PERSON in the church had this golden aura shining above their head, some people had brighter auras, some duller. But one thing I noticed that stood out to me the most, even the statue of Jesus above the altar, and the statues of Mary and Joseph also had these golden auras around their heads.

The message that I took from all of this, the energy of God, the Universe, Yahweh, Allah, Atum, whatever you want to call it, lives within every being on this planet. And part of my duty is to help everybody shine as bright as they can, so now I teach yoga, meditation, and philosophy to bring in the light.
