Reddit, what is the worst party you have ever attended?

Alcohol at a wedding is an absolute must, but a few years ago my friends got married at this old mansion you could rent on a river. There were probably just over 100 of us there, and it rained heavily and cleared up right before the ceremony was supposed to begin, but the problem was the lawn was now way too wet to put up chairs. So instead we only put a few chairs out for the grandparents, and the rest of us stood informally in small groups around the wedding party and watched the ceremony, which actually turned out really cool. Then the reception was inside, and there was alcohol but no music at all because the DJ's mother died that morning so he had to cancel. At first my gf and I thought it would be awkward with no music, but again that turned out to be quite lovely. We all had a great time just talking and hanging out, playing card games, and just having fun. Those people are some of our best friends and what we strive to be like them as a couple because of how they lift everyone up around them. Didn't matter to them that the ceremony was nearly drowned and the music was cancelled. They just rolled with the punches and the night turned out to be one of the best weddings we've ever attended.
