My grandpa cheated on my grandma for ... their whole relationship. Not just someone on the side, but full on family, spending dinners there, ... He got caught once. Threatened my grandma and mom (other siblings were too old at that point) so they wouldn't break up. Grandma gave him a second chance. He did it again

And I discovered a few years ago I have more uncles ! My granddad was 20, hot, in the countryside, so he had fun with the maid. Knew the child was his. Still abandoned it. In the 50's, when being a single mom was a social death sentence. Twice apparently. With another maid. And nobody would be much surprised if there was another kid they don't know of yet.

Because worst part of it all. My entire extended family knew. I often spent time at my great grandmothers house, at the family farm. Spent time with my granddad's brother and sister in law. They knew. My moms cousin knew. Everybody knew. Except my mom+siblings and grandma

Funny thing is how it happened. Religious aunts kept denying, over and over. My mom (who was the only moving force in trying to find it out) found a picture online. Everybody shut the fuck up and agreed. It was EXACTLY my granddad 20 years ago
