Reddit, Who deserves the "Damn, they really were right" award?

I disagree - here's why.

People should have access to pure, safe drugs. The big "dangers" from drugs like "MDMA" and "LSD" is that it's rarely the drug they think it is. People are making these drugs in dirty bathrooms or mixing in all sorts of things - it's like russian roulette.

The government could save a lot of lives by providing dosage instructions by weight and pure chemicals.

I believe that citizens should be required to get "Licensed" to purchase these drugs by taking educational classes on the drugs themselves. Basic things like, understanding your body weight and dosage, having a trip buddy for psychedelics, etc.

After that, they should be allowed to purchase these drugs.

If we are able to study them, find safe doses, etc. - then we are better able to help people understand what doses are dangerous; no one is going to take 10 pills if they know it will probably kill them unless that is their intention, and it's not like we are going to stop selling aspirin because some people use it to kill themselves.
