Redditor Behind Trump/CNN Wrestling Video Issues Lengthy Apology, Deletes User Account

Perhaps its less objective reality not existing for some people and more you being uninformed.

If CNN didn't dox him, what do you call this?

KFile was able to determine key biographical details, to find the man's name using a Facebook search and ultimately corroborate details he had made available on Reddit. On Monday, KFile attempted to contact the man by email and phone but he did not respond.

Just casually scouring his reddit account for information they could use to determine his identity, send him a few emails, drop in a phone call or two. Like thats from CNN's article. They're proud they did that.

It's not like this was done for a journalistic reason, there is no newsworthy content in "man makes gif on internet." This is purely an attempt to intimidate a private citizen.

And just in case the malicious attempt to suppress the users political activity doesn't stick, casually drop in a "We know who you are, if we think you're posting memes on reddit again then your goose is cooked"

CNN reserves the right to publish his identity should any of that change.

Coercive, manipulative, unmerited attacks targeted at the creator of a crappy meme image because the president retweeted it without permission after someone else altered it.

How in the fuck do you find any of that defensible, ethical or acceptable in the slightest?

Dox a guy, intimidate him privately then hold his personal info being made available to millions of people over his head like the sword of damocles to ensure his compliance. lmao.
