Redditor shares a passage showing a parallel between the transformation of Nazi Germany and the signs of it in the US today

Try being a dreamer (somebody who was raised in the US as a child but is not a legal resident).

The future for them is very uncertain. Their home is the United States. On September 5th the DoJ told them they could not legally work here anymore. What do you think is going to happen to almost a million people who all of a sudden will have no home and no work? Perhaps they will be deported, to where? They have no home but the United States.

It is not a holocaust but it is outrageous. People in general don't get upset about it because it doesnt affect them and nobody is being physically hurt. The reality is that hundreds of thousands of sons, daughters, brother, sisters, mothers, fathers, and so on will be torn away from their families and forcibly sent to a place they've never been to and have little future in and often do not speak the language of.

These are real, credible fears for dreamers. Just because it is not our reality doesn't mean it is not somebody else's.
