Redditor who feel like you are “drowning,” what’s going on, what do you need to happen for things to get better?

School. One studio class requires at least 40 hours minimum of outside class time dedicated to homework, usually end up spending at least 50-60 hours a week to barely meet the deadlines they set, only to be told it looks like I rushed it. On top of that one class, I'm a full time student with 3 other courses. I live in a big city and everything is a huge time waste, to adjust my schedule for traffic I have to leave an hour before I'm expected to be anywhere, even though classes are 15 minutes from my house. Need to go to the post office? That's going to take 30-50 minutes. Need to go to the DMV? That can take literally entire days with the current DMV systems and my own schedule. I sleep about 3-5 hours a night with maybe an hour or two of downtime dedicated to not losing my own sanity. I don't even work right now(thank god for my wife already being out of school) and I'm barely keeping shit together. I don't understand how anyone that does not have such a great support system can do what I do, assuming they sleep less and live a worse life than mine. Living in the city is extremely inefficient and as soon as I graduate I will never live in a large city again.
