Watched the second plane hit in 10th grade second period health class. Watched the towers fall in third period English. School was dismissed after the towers fell. Went and got high with the fellas and had a half-hearted band practice. Then our buddy talked us in to going to church with him so we got even more high and stood outside the entire vigil service theorizing about what was going on. We kept good humor, but we were all visibly confused and a little anxious about the days to come. We had no idea at the time that there werent more attacks forthcoming. We were kind of bracing at a young age for life as we knew it to change. Scary feeling.
