Redditors that have lost weight, are you happier now compared to when you were heavier?

I've had some yo-yo style weight loss and gain. (Lost 70, gained back 35 and so forth.) I would say that my weight is unrelated to my happiness. I still have the same struggles and joys, fat or thinner.

If I were to boil down the most significant change, I would say that society treats me differently when I'm thinner. The most noticeable differences come from people in the health field and men on the street. It's amazing how the same people who treat you like garbage when you look fat bend over backwards to be friendly when you look thin. In that regard, I like being fat better. Imo people are more likely to show you their true colors.
