Why even have a kid if you are going to abuse them?

Most people don't think before having kids. They just fuck one day and forget a condom.

Someone who actually cared about their future children would think about what kind of life they are giving them before giving birth to them.

But most parents don't do that. the decision to have a child is almost entirely about themselves. Sometimes it's not even what they want, but rather they think having a kid will fix some problem in their life. Maybe their relationship is failing and they think a kid is a band-aid, or maybe you don't want a kid but your spouse does and you eventually cave.

And it is always horrible. Children aren't solutions or band-aids or toys or pets, they are people, if you bring them into a life without ensuring that it will be a good one you are fundamentally mistreating them in pursuit of your own benefit.

And if you go into parenthood with that kind of mindset it is all too easy to just continue to pursue your own gratification at their cost.
