Redditors who don't talk to their best friends any more, what made the relationship not work out?

Not a real falling out, but we just outgrew each other. He still hangs out with a group that I left on bad terms, and seems to be really loyal to them. A lot of his personality traits still remind me of the negativity of that old group, and I have way too much going in my life to remotely deal with that again. The final nail in the coffin was that he kept trying to pull out free work from me, despite me telling him I'm too busy. I admit that I wasn't as attentive as I should have been, but I had to prioritize paid work over him.

His last words to me was "You always let me down" followed by some passive aggressive jabs at me while playing Jackbox on the Switch.
