Redditors who fell in love at first sight, what's your story?

First day of college, meeting all the other people living in my dorm. I walked in and saw him sitting on a table, and it felt like I'd been struck by lightning. It wasn't love at first sight; I had a boyfriend at the time that I was crazy about. It was just this weird sensation that this person was somehow going to be important to me. We ended up in a lot of the same classes, then became friends during college. We helped each other through late nights working on projects, awkward dating mishaps, exam study sessions, and breakups. I'd say I had a crush on him our first few months, but we talked it out and I got over it - we didn't want risk our friendship. Almost five years later we were both single, had just graduated, and started hanging out a lot more often. We started seeing each other casually, nothing exclusive. And a few months later we both realized we didn't want to see anyone else. So we started dating 'officially', and our six year anniversary is next week :) I had something at first sight which, over an incredibly long time, turned into love.
