I've always had excellent neighbors; chill and/or never home.

My friend tho, his parents lived next door to a family of complete psychos.

They had just moved in and were already acting like they owned the whole neighborhood.

The first really idiotic thing they did was cut down pretty much every tree near their house, even the ones that weren't on their land.

That is very illegal and has a ~€5000 fine attached to it, especially if you don't ask for permission first.

After this they filed a claim to the police that my friends parents were spying on them, I guess it never occurred to them that not having trees between you and your neighbors might not be a good idea, and that they were racists.

This continued until the neighbors suddenly started banging on their door one night and physically assaulted my friends mother by forcing their way in the door and pushed her to the floor, damaging her hands and wrists.

Did I mention that my friends dad is a big-time lawyer with plenty of lawyer friends ?

It's unfortunate that the neighbors weren't thrown in jail for awhile, but they were ordered to pay damages to my friends parents.

The neighbors moved from the area a short time later, they lived there for less than a year, so I guess that's the happy ending.

They still haven't paid for the trees tho....
