Redditors who have a job that requires you to go into strangers homes, what is the craziest thing you've seen?

Parents have an auction company where they also do full cleanouts of people's estates and I would work there on the moving trucks during my summers in college. Father took on a a job for a local attorney that was basically just doing the guy a favor since he'd been good to us in the past. So me and two other guys head over to this apartment to clean out all the contents, salvage whatever we can and trash the rest. So, as the story had been told to me going into this place, only a single person lived in the apartment and they were a bit of a shut-in. Come to find out, after I'm already in the place, that they were so much of a shut-in, that the person had died and laid on the bedroom floor for a few days before someone came to check on them. Now we were in there a few months after this happened, but just those few days left a nice stain basically ingrained on the unfinished wooden floor. Made a deal with one of the other guys so I wouldn't have to clean out the bedroom.

So, anyway, the crew and I are going through the person's belongings and I'm noticing documents, identifications, mail, etc. with two different names, similar names, but one female, one male: Michael/Michele. I found it odd since supposedly only one person lived in the apartment, thought maybe just typos, or something messed up in a registration somewhere. I put it out of mind and just moved on from it. Move on to start cleaning out the living room. Right inside the doorway are tons and tons of books. Now I'm a big reader and a lot of these were brand new, so I was taking my time going through them, seeing if I could find any of interest. Alot of them were "New Age" type stuff and then I stumbled upon the stacks and stacks of gender identity, transsexual, transvestite, "I'm confused"-type books. Three or four dozen of these types of books. Well, the Sherlock Holmes that I am, the different names is starting to make a bit more sense. But, we're here to do a job, so I moved on.

Start working my way around the living/sitting room. In the corner is an old TV, antenna-type, VCR and a bunch of paper bags and stacks upon stacks of VHS cassette tapes. Figured a shut-in would probably have a decent amount of movies to watch, especially since it didn't appear the apartment had a cable hook-up. I get to the corner (and who doesn't like looking through other people's movie collections, learn a good amount about a person that way), reach into one of the bags aaaaaand it's a treasure trove of gay porn videos. Had to be 60-70 tapes. Maybe should have been but wasn't prepared for that. Not that I'm not okay with this person's lifestyle or anything, I just wasn't prepared for all that that apartment threw at 18-year old me. I've seen tons of odd and unusual stuff in my years helping out there, but this one just kind of had it all.
