Redditors who've physically fought their bullies, what happened, and what was the aftermath?

A girl bullied me through middle school. The second day of freshman year, she threw a bottle on the bus and hit me in the head. This was on a Friday. Was a quiet, nerdy kid, but everyone knows that if you piss me off badly enough, you're going to hear about it. So Monday morning, I've decided enough is enough, and I'm not doing four more years of this shit. I told my mom I might get in a fight today and explained why. She told me to make sure I did it after eight o'clock because she needed to care for our horses, and if I got in trouble any earlier I wouldn't have a ride home. So I went to school, sat through my first class, went and got my sister at at break, handed her my jacket, and confronted the chick. I asked her why she threw the bottle at me, and she denied having thrown it. I had seen her. I told her she was a liar, and she tried to swing at me. We ended up locked together. She grabbed me by the hair so I grabbed her by the inside of the face. I ended up covered fingertips to elbows in her blood, and got taken to the office. I sat in the nurses office while she was seated in the main room in front of a large window. she was not a nice girl, and had already established a bad reputation on her second day at a new school. My mom came to get me, and as soon as she saw me her eyes got huge. I reassured her it wasn't my blood, and we went home. I was suspended for the rest of the week. My dad worked at the school, and when he got home, he told me he'd had a conversation with the principal. They had been shocked, asked where I learned to fight like that, and suggested I take anger management courses. Nobody fucked with me for the remainder of my highschool years, save for mean teenage boys, and even the upperclassmen treated me with respect. She switched schools shortly after. Having an older sibling can pay off in the long run. We had a "no face, no marks rule", which sometimes in the heat of the moment went right out the window. Those were the hard shots, so I can dodge a punch like a champ. Never had to fight in school again.
