Reddit's disrespectful design

Presumably they have data that shows these types of users are more valuable in some way, either directly or through ad targeting info.

Most likely because they are logged in for more/ longer but without posting much as in: making more posts, but shorter ones which then means more "clicks" and site hits and genderally are browsing more of the "popular" subs?

I think that people actually interested in a discussion take their time, read maybe all the comments in the respective threads while hanging out in less popular and more niche subs.

Whether a sub is locked on mobile also might be a decision of the respective admins? Wasn't there some "scandal" some months ago over some LGBTQ topic that actually caused subs go "private" in the first place and stayed like that since?

Overall, I don't use any social media except reddit and I don't find it too bad overall.

The only thing really pissing me off is reddit trying to force me to use the "new design" which I hate with a passion, I prefer the old one and the day it no longer will be available will eventually be the day I actually quit reddit.
