Refuse to split the bill equally.. okay..

I’ve experienced the issue with a fee but that’s because you’re signed up with a card on file not your bank account.

Actually useful and appreciated information, I'll look into this thank you.

Also, you seem like the same type of person who would scream and froth at the mouth if you didn’t get 1000% best service,

Can you please stop reaching in this conversation like you have me so figured out? Lmao. Just because I don't have the money to foot 8 tabs doesn't mean I'm difficult. I'm pretty chill, don't need a lot of attention or get upset when things aren't going 100%. I was in the service industry for years, I get it. So no, internet stranger, sorry to inform you you don't know me the way you think you do based off our 2-3 comments on the internet.

Again, if you go out with a group regularly to bars/restaurants figure out your tab plans before you enter the building.

Correct, and in the case of OP, it's clear this isn't what happened, or Shelly wouldn't have awkwardly had to ask her tab to be separate at the end. If I'm ever in a group that large, which is barely ever, it's a bunch of couples who foot each other's tabs. Again, having been a server myself I'm not gonna sweat having to split 4 checks, it's a part of the job no matter how little you enjoy it. Good on your work for stopping bigger check splits because yes 8 ways is insane.
