Regarding the hype: don't worry, be happy!

I would not say I am angry with Tripwire, but I am indeed frustrated with the lack of direct communication. I'd rather not be teased only to keep being told "Soon". Part of me wants to suggest not saying anything at all in order to avoid stirring the pot any, but I don't know if that's quite the right solution.

Last year we were told, "Not as soon as you like, but sooner than you'd expect" or something along those lines. "Soon" is the key phrase, but while Tripwire's internal projects are moving along at a good clip, everyone on the outside is left wondering what's going on. This is partially the community's fault, and one I think we need to own up to. We are all extremely excited for Killing Floor 2 and want it as soon as possible. But Tripwire too could do well to reel in some things to prevent the community from going crazy.

For my own personal take on things, I've been really happy to see the latest footage come through as the game looks to be in fantastic shape. Unfortunately, this has made a good chunk of the games I currently play less appealing to me. I play co-operative games almost exclusively when it comes to online play so my options are already fairly limited. Between the thousands of hours I've poured into KF1, L4D2, Payday 2 and more, I've chewed up those sticks of gum til the flavor's not there anymore. Killing Floor 2 is something my groups have been desiring for quite a while now, to the point where we've slowed our usual gaming routines until it hits.

That is our problem, that is on us. It won't make Tripwire push the EA out any faster. I'd just rather not be directly reminded of how great it's gonna be until I can give them money myself and play it. Because damn... it looks great!
