Regarding the Recent Accusations of "Mod Abuse"

Again, you ignore the reason WHY he called oreng a bigoted fuck. Address that please. He says he copied oreng's comment and replaced Shi'ite with Jewish. He did say "bigoted fuck" after that in declaring his disgust at that blatant racism, but edited it out after a mod warned him.

I want to know why it is okay for a mod to say "You are wrong because you are Shi'ite" but not okay for a user to respond with "You are wrong because you are a Jew."

The "bigoted fuck" comment in this case I say is completely justified and furthermore was edited out and should not have resulted in a ban. What should have resulted in a ban was oreng's racism that was never addressed. The insults seem to be because you did not address that racism but jumped on him for being disgusted at it. Yes, I too would be angry if someone said the same to me.

In this case, it is the racist mod that should have been disciplined not the victim responding in disgust at said racism. I would insult you too if you covered for a fellow mod. There are plenty of insults going on in this subreddit, but they do not receive bans. You have overreacted, but more importantly is the issue with the racism from oreng.

And do I really need to tell you why cherry-picking rules to heavy-handedly enforce to curb discussion is wrong?

"No matter how wrong you are"

So petty and unprofessional. My opinion is that you overreacted because you were personally insulted not because any "duty to enforcing rules as a mod". It is my opinion you covered up for a racist mod and then banned the victim, who apparently could have contributed much more to this discussion-place than you could.

It seems to be a pattern to you and the other mods and admin here, from what I read from these other posts. You all seem unable to admit you are wrong and hold yourselves high and mighty because you have the power to choose when to ban users, which you all seem keen to do when they do not abide by your chosen ill-experienced narrative.

If multiple people of similar pro-government viewpoints are being banned, then the pattern points to inherent biases among the staff of this subreddit. There needs to be a shakeup and removal of most of these mods, but it seems the admin is the same as he was the one who personally chose to promote the moderators.

Why would any Arab join this discussion when he will only be banned for his views? What good is a forum place about the Middle East when there are only three or four Arabs posting?
