The Register: "Intel kills plans for $700M liquid and immersion cooling lab"

You write "Intel/MAD" but shouldn't you be writing "Intel"? You're not hearing AMD do mass layoffs, cancelling products or cancel expansion plans. They had bad Q2 and Q3, but my point is that Q4 is looking to be much better, probably both for Intel and AMD.

I know we like to think in trends, and whenever there's a dip in the market, we like to talk the crisis worse than it is. But there are a lot of indications that the slimp in the market either IS over, or is moving towards a full or partial recovery. AMD not doing a revenue warning this quarter is definitely a good sign for them, TSMC doing 43% more revenue in Q4 is another, CPU sales keep going up at one of the biggest etailers in Europe....

What am I missing here, why do people insist on talking us into a crisis?
