Registered nurse moving to Ottawa

Hey I work in ER at TOH as a clerk. We definitely have nurses that are not bilingual. I’m not sure how it works with RNs, but generally speaking, TOH will try to have a 60% bilingual and 40% not bilingual staff for clerks. This is because while we’re not a French hospital, it ensures that there’s always going to be a staff member on that can communicate with French only patients. That being said, being bilingual is definitely more expected at the General Campus compared to the Civic. Also, feel free to apply to emerg, we are short RNs literally every single day, with your experience, I can’t see why they wouldn’t bring you on. Hope this help, good luck! :)
