Relaxation & Community Support Thread 2 / Détente et soutien communautaire 2

I work at a Fortune 100 company site in Ottawa, we were still operating essential staff who couldn't work from home until now, but now they've announced a 2 week unpaid leave of absence (starting next week).

On one hand, I'm glad to get some time off, especially with increased risk for health complications because of chronic asthma and allergies. On the other hand, the reduction in my income will hurt. My wife moved here in July and has been looking for jobs, but so far has been unable to find work. We'll be in a tough spot in terms of expenses and savings. We were saving up to get our own place, but that'll take longer now.

I'm super thankful that I'll be able to relatively comfortably squeeze through this time (depending on longevity), but I realize there's others on even worse spots, financially, socially, emotionally. I want to do my part in helping the community as well, so what's the best ways to help out right now? If even to just spread positivity and a message of community, shared humanity, patience and tolerance, and to help each other through this time
