The release of Red Dead Redemption 2 has made me very skeptical of game critics.

The 10/10 reviews and massive hype make it very intimidating to say anything negative about the game. So, I’m happy you started the discussion.

The controls are trash. Which means the game is trash. Controls are all the player has. Simple as that. The fact that no one who reviewed the game pointed this out is maddening. It doesn’t feel like a video game because the bounty system is so strict and the story is so one sided on Arthur being good. The game is cheap in so many glitchy ways that it feels rushed and unbalanced.m, as if rockstar employees never actually played it before it was released.

In short, Its actually a pretty lack luster game with a bunch of systems like managing your beard length. Yeah, it’s cool how there’s so much detail as far as hunting and level design, but these things are part of the game and are hard to enjoy with all the other issues. I’ve put about a weeks amount of time into the game and still find the inventory menu to be confusing as heck. It’s the only rockstar game where when you hand the controls off to your friend you need to spend the next 30 min explaining the absurdity of the controls and odd health meters. Has they kept health simple, maybe at the very least the inventory menu would be a little less dense. Jeeeeez! I really wanted this game to be perfect. Breaks my soul. It’s fun, don’t get me wrong, but BOOOI, am I disgusted with game reviewers and gaming as a whole right now.
