Relevant AskReddit thread: [Serious] What is the best unexplained mystery?

Don't mind me grave digging your old thread with what I've always thought oj this case /u/Loraxx753

Odds are they succumbed to the jungle no big mystery there, especially as foreigners from a non jungle nation. Especially after 10 days on supplies for just a day hike (assuming they died around when the last phone did)

Granted the things Ive always found weirdest about this case is the repeated incorrect pins after a few days in. Did one die days before the other? I don't see what else could cause the ability to not communicate a 4 digit Iphone pin to your friend but still be alive. But why stay with the body then? (they were found rather close together iirc)

And why did they only start taking night flashlight-esque pictures a week into the jungle. Did they just hang out in the darkess the firsr 6 nights? That's freaky with all jungle sounds & nocturnal animals running around.

Especially once you factor in the fact it didn't look like they packed anything besides what they had in the cafe pre hike and a few snacks in the bag. So no survival gear like first aid or flashlight etc since it looked like they were hanging on to anything remotely valuable besides snack wrappers until the last days/hours when they got separated from it (heck may have even been post mortem somehow)

Like the bag had passport and cash (reasonable since they probably weren't carrying a purse on a hike and womens clothing isn't exactly pocket friendly these days), The 2 Bras were most likely just the ones they set out with that day (shit gets uncomfortable after awhile so the GF says so they probably ditched them after a bit), Sunglasses again just something they were wearing when they left. Phones were probably the only valuable thing other than the PP/Cash so she/they were rational thinking enough to store it in the bag before dying despite the dead batteries.
