Religion excuses child abuse apparently

I don't think they're is a Divine reason for that. I very much believe in God. People go through horrible things in life and suffer allot and it's hard to understand why God would allow such things. People are always quick to criticize and curse God when things are bad and very slow to thank God for the things they have or when things are good. My point, God gave man free will, one of the greatest gifts ever bestowed upon us, a gift never even given to his angels. For God to control a person's actions would go against the very gift he gave us. People can be ugly no doubt about that. I felt the same as you for many years. Being a victim of abuse myself could not fathom a loving and caring God allowing such things. Then I educated myself on God and his word and I personally have experienced things that forever changed the way I saw God. I'm truly sorry for your suffering and I hope and pray you find peace from your experience. I don't believe in religion necessarily but I believe in God because he's shown me he's there. I think there are religious people who mean well but can't voice it correctly because they don't KNOW God and there's a huge difference. Prayers aren't always answered the way you want them to be but that doesn't mean he's not there with you.
