Religion Mega Thread

In religion welfare of the soul/psyche comes first and considerations of things like local and national politics comes a very, very distant second. The only religious people involved in radical political movements are the extremist ideologues, whether on the right or on the left.

Religions will be more inclined to support a status quo situation. A stable and secure country that changes very little is better for religious practice. Trying to practice religion in a country with an unstable political environment and social unrest is not good. Therefore, most religious people tend to be conservative (not far-right, just mainline conservative), and the ones who are not tend to be ideologues.
