Religious indoctrination of minors should be illegal.

So, it's okay to oppress people as long as no blood is spilled? It's okay to participate in the precursors to bloodshed - the very causes of the escalation to bloodshed - right up until the blood actually starts flowing at which point you "draw the line", stand back, adjust your aim and fire at someone else?

Well, I guess that answers my question, which is, "Just how tight is the death grip this kid has on his belief system?". And the answer is "tight with a cape". Or, if you prefer, "super tight". Which is how belief works. Only allowing recognition of what validates it while denying anything and everything that contradicts it. Compartmentalizing beliefs so they don't crash into one another.

I'm sure your half of society would say, "You have learned well, grasshopper."
