Nomura goes on to say that basically they had to call Yuffies story DLC but it really wasn’t the purpose. Yuffies story was created to distinguish the ps4 version of the game from the ps5 version and that’s it.

He continues on, so with that being said, at this time there’s no plans for DLC. Their main focus is smoothly continuing the game and plotting its path to the end (meaning the last two games).

While it’s vague and I think he intends it to be because he doesn’t want to say for sure there will be no DLC, I think here he is saying that there are no current plans for DLC across the entire ffvii remake series. Once the games are completed, if there’s a necessity for DLC they’ll think about it then once the trilogy is finished is how I read it.

I asked my wife who is a native speaker, but has no video game knowledge what she thought and if it was similar to my interpretation of his comments and she agreed that he’s pretty vague here but that the whole “いまのところＤＬＣの予定はありません。” was pretty clearly staring at this moment he has no plans for DLC across the three games and this Yuffie story was only to distinguish it from the PS4 version which there will be no need to do in the other two games.
