Remember "Fire Coop"?

They had perfectly valid criticisms that drew from more than just this season

None of their criticisms were valid because they are arguing from what they see during games, responses in press conferences, and open practices. None of those things really discuss what Cooper is trying to do or what his strategy is on the back end. You just don't know. There were comments like "he never changes anything" or "he refuses to do x". These are all arm chair quarterback goto lines when their favorite teams aren't performing well and they want to blame the coach. The truth of the matter is that none of us know what exactly is going on in the background with the team. We aren't privy to closed door strategy meetings, we aren't allowed in the building during closed practices, and we aren't there when Cooper has strategy meetings with his assistance coaches. All we have are results and stats from games.

What if all this weird shitty play we've had up until now is because of some low lying strategy that Cooper has been attempting to implement the whole time? What if Cooper had to basically retool his entire coaching methodology and it took the past three months for the team to catch up and understand what he was doing?

We aren't out of the woods yet. We've had a good set of games and with a team built like ours, it could be pure dumb luck that we just netted 8 wins in a row. The only thing that people should focus on is that the goal is to win a cup and we need the best players, coaching staff, and support team we can get to get us there. Brisbois thinks that the guy that is going to get us there is Cooper. Yzerman thought the guy that could get us there is Cooper. I am pretty sure both those guys know way more about hockey than any dipshit in this sub and I think "firing Cooper" will really only really be necessary when Bris pulls the trigger.
