I remember when I was a Christian, I used to mock an atheist

I'm sorry, but religious indoctrination IS child abuse.

Is it not child abuse to convince a child that they are a dog and they must act like a dog or else be punished by burning fire FOREVER? Is it not child abuse to convince a child that they are somehow superior to others because they have one color skin and others have a different color? Is it not child abuse to convince a child that patently false things are somehow true, that reality is a lie and imagination is true and that the child must live his or life according to the whims of an imaginary man?

How are these crimes any different than indoctrination of religion? Intentionally forcing a delusional mental disorder onto a child is wrong, plain and simple. If a person claims that a flying spaghetti monster created the universe, they are considered delusional. If millions of people share that persons delusion, it's somehow okay to spread the delusion to children so that they're less likely to question it? Sorry, no, it's not okay. Indoctrination into nazi-ism is bad, but into religion is good? Sorry, no. Indoctrination is child abuse.
