Reminder that John Gruden got rid of Khalil Mack and Amari Cooper this season

Hey! That was me. Like 5k upvotes on that comment.

In my replies to most people (who were obviously agreeing with me) I made the same arguments I still make today.

I said he was a good player with plenty of tread left on the tire and still a number one receiver in my opinion.

I said all signing Amari was going to do was at best win us the division and keep Garrett around for another year. Resigning his contract is going to make us pass on a defensive player who i'd have preferred over him. It will likely either be Byron or Tank. I'd still take both of those dudes over him any day of the week.

Is it cool to have a number one receiver? Of course it is. Do I ultimately think the results will be any different than they were previously with a middle of the pack quarterback and an incompetent head coach and offensive coordinator? Not a chance in hell.
