Remote job wants to pay me below my state minimum wage

i don't get this response. i'm explaining how this is just basic business. you're the one getting triggered here not me. i fully accept this is how it works and would even say this is how it should work. you are the one that doesn't like this. you think this business has to follow your state min wage laws and if it doesn't, it's automatically unethical.

my response isn't being a bootlicker, it's from being a small business owner myself. what people like you don't understand is that other people want options. maybe you should have empathy for people that don't have the education, experience, or skills you have and would love to take a job that pays for less over not having a job at all.

by forcing every job to dish out min wage, you are not understanding that you're taking away the job completely. the business will not just keep the job and increase wages. the job will simply not exist and now someone who would have been happy taking the job for less money cannot accept the job.

now for your situation, again, it sounds like you have to have some education, experience, or skills for this job offer. so by the business asking for less than min wage, that is probably a bad offer and i would agree that you should not accept it. however, it's not unethical for the business to try to get a lower price. it's just a bad business move by the company and they will probably fail at getting a good candidate.
