The removal of Gift of Battle from vendors feels like a huge step backwards.

You know absolutely nothing about me lol.

1.The last time I used a portal in OS was 3.5 years ago, just after launch and when there were still epic fights going on in it. The last 2-3 months when I ran OS I just did it myself. By the way why wouldn't I? It's not hard, it's actually fun, it goes quick when you're experienced and to be honest there was never another person around to portal me up anyway. To give you an idea in all those runs (1500 badges/10-15 badges per day) I only encountered an enemy once, and allies only twice. 2. So not participating in something that I absolutely hate immediately means I'm lazy. Epic logic you got going on there. And no I'm not trying to "get a free reide past what the devs expect", the devs have never given a shit about whether or not you actually play WvW to get your legendary. That's why they let jumping puzzles give badges and sold Gifts of Battle for badges.

I've got plenty of gold but I already have lots of sub-ingredients so it'd be a huge waste of gold to buy the legendaries and getting stuck with the account-bound ingredients. Just farming more gold isn't feasible for me as I don't enjoy the most efficient (= brain killing) ways of getting gold like lvl40 faptal farm or Silverwastes. And I have no clue about queues on my server, I didn't play WvW since 2-3 weeks after launch but last couple of days I got flamed regularly by butthurt WvW'ers and commanders for taking a spot while there were queues apparently.

I have no problem PvP'ing for the PvP Backpiece, I have no problem PvE'ing for the PvE legendaries. I have no problem playing WvW if I want the WvW-exclusive armor, if I ever want it. I DO have a problem playing WvW for the PvE legendaries.
