Removing ice from water

No disagreement that I'm being pedantic. I'm correcting someone's grammar on the internet, that pretty much goes with the territory haha

You said that doing something will have a certain effect, when it has a chance of that effect. 'Can and will' is not synonymous with 'can', or even 'is likely to'.

I guess I just have issues with the types of warning that disregard the actual likelihood of something happening, and instead say it is a certainty to make the message more persuasive. Then, some rebel finds out that when they ignore the advice, they didn't experience any repercussion. Now they think the advice is bullshit, and are at a much greater risk than if they were told the honest facts from the start.
