I renovated my kitchen with zero previous experience

I love posts like this. My wife and I are moving into our first house sometime before the end of the year, and two of the major projects are going to be expanding on the kitchen and bathroom and I have absolutely no idea how to do any of it. Although I feel I have plenty of time to learn because we have to redo the floors (it has a concrete slab, we were just going to acid wash it with a stain to potentially save a lot of money and still have a really nice floor), paint everything inside and out, replace pretty much every single door and window (house has jalousie windows which pretty much render the insulation useless) and it has to be scrubbed clean. Also needs a lot of landscaping work but luckily that's the one thing I have a lot of experience with.

We also have to fix a leak from an addon that has a flat roof. There are piles of wet leaves and dead limbs scattered all over and it has taken its toll. The entire ceiling is going to have to be taken out and replaced.

I'm just hoping it won't be overly difficult to do all of this by ourselves. We're being given the house for the remainder of the mortgage (10 years left, 750/month for a 3 bed 1 and a half bath) plus when the owner retires in 5 years she said she was going to pay it off for us.
