Thats a cool anecdote but for every cool, old landlord there’s countless scumbags. Here’s me, my brother and my friend’s experience with landlords in the last few months (all of us were kicked out and found new lords to rule over us)

I was constantly spied and on and verbally abused by my landlord. Literal landlord from Hell, raised rent by 500$ after a year & charged for water. Eventually forced me to fill the heating oil tank & kicked me out without refunding a thousand dollars worth of oil

My brother lived in a rental for years & even completely constructed a deck on the property for free. A few years in he complained that a neighboring tenant owned over 50 chickens, 4 being roosters, & he was constantly being woken up at the crack of dawn. He went to the town hall & found there was an 80 decibal sound limit which the roosters exceeded. Within weeks my brother was given an eviction notice.
