Report: Lakers are ‘hustling’ to jump into NBA draft lottery

IMO, just throwing it out there...

Kings: Lakers acquire Marvin Bagley + swap picks for Kuz and future 2nd rnd pick.

Hornets: Lakers acquire Rozier + pick swap for Kuz, Gasol, + future 2nd round pick.

Lakers acquire Mo Bamba + Mozgov (waive) & swap 1st rnd picks for Kuz and a future second rnd pick.

Let's be real: the King's and Magic are at the bottom when it comes to drafting players in today's times. Bagley will be a RFA in 2022 and we could trade him before the trade deadline. Mo Bamba can also be shopped. Rozier will be an UFA in 2022 and Kuz may be a better fit with Hornets (while having post season experience) as a SF/PF with a team that has a lot of ball facilitation. Hornets also have 3 point guards and a lot of youth.

However, swapping picks with the Thunder or Knicks seems more realistic than jumping into the top 14 of the draft = Wizards drafting 15th. Thus, we may have to sign one star player and wait until trade deadline or a player buyout IMO.
