Is the report system broken? I was muted for 48 hours after asking people to make better picks in Quick Play.

I really don't spend any time being a dick to anyone. I usually try to combat the toxicity in the community, which is why I was beyond surprised when I got muted.

It's also why I posted here. In hopes that the devs might see it. Because if the system can be abused in such a way that innocent people can be muted by actual toxic players, something needs to be reworked.

I'll try to get in touch with support, but this isn't another "please unban me" post or sob-story. Which is why I didn't post any identifiable account information. It just seems counter productive to have to deal with appeals when you could verify the tagged users to begin with.

It wouldn't even take that long.

  • User ABC has received 50 abusive chat reports.

  • Mod takes a quick glance at the chat from user ABC and says, "Yep. That's abusive." or "Nope. That's not abusive at all."

This would also help identify the players who are actually abusing the report system, which is against TOS.

35 million accounts comes to about 2.1 billion dollars just on the initial game purchase. Not including loot boxes, merch or anything else. You'd think they could outsource some cheap mods or man power to deal with report verifications.
