I'm not going to sit here and argue with someone about America being "diverse" as if having a few black people in your city centres makes you more diverse than the hundreds of countries which have significantly more racial diversity and thousands of years of taking in immigrants and racial mixing.

This is just American exceptionalism. Because you've never left your country's borders you only believe what you see on your news networks, which is overwhelmingly that the US is some special case that doesn't follow the same logic as the rest of the entire world, and somehow having a lot of empty land makes you completely incomparable to anything else.
