Republican Candidates Call Raising Taxes On Millionaires ‘Class Warfare'

Remember, it's only class warfare when it's the lower classes pushing back.

The upper classes completely fucking over everyone below them is clearly not class warfare.

I support Bernie, but "completely fucking over everyone below them" is bullshit. There's a lot of wealth being created globally and everyone is benefitting from that. In America the strong dollar means we are swimming in cheap good (I'm in Malaysia right now and surprised how expensive many goods are here relative to both our prices and local incomes). The big issues Bernie addresses -rising costs of education, minimum wage stagnation, healthcare and housing- remain true for many Americans. However, the good times of the boomer years are often mythic (no, a minimum wage earner could not pay for a house and a college education) and a one time situation anyways due to America's position after WWII when the rest of the world was in ruins.

Simlly put: globally, the poor are NOT getting poorer, incomes globally are actually rising. The rich are growing in number as business expands to both create and then serve those rising incomes. The very rich are getting very, very, very, very rich . This last point is a problem, for it creates political imbalances (which FDR outlined and addressed in the 1930's & Bernie is addressing today). Some of the extreme wealth was due to cutting corners on worker safety, health care, & the environment. Those monies will be needed to clean up the mess this last global boom created & begin addressing the reforms America and Europe introduced in the 20th Century after their own "robber baron" boom eras of extreme wealth creation.
