Republican Glenn Youngkin Wins Governor’s Race In Virginia, Experts Project | The Daily Wire

I’ve only lived here ten years. My understanding is that if you can’t get NoVa to come out in droves to vote it is hard to get a state wide win form Dems. McAuliffe seemed the safe choice as he didn’t have a bad run as governor.

I’m not sure why Dems won’t point to Republicans experiments in places such as Kansas as why lowering taxes and privatization isn’t a panacea. The trump messaging was falling flat for a long time. The warning signs of non-engagement should have been loud.

My understanding of this state is that Democratic governance has been seen as a positive turn overall. So having so many abandoning common sense and demanding simple solutions for nuanced problems is troubling.

Hoping for a miracle.
