Republicans vote to allow 18-year-olds to carry concealed weapons on school property

I had a boyfriend in high school who turned 18 during his senior year when I was 16 in my junior year. He immediately bought a rifle and then had some friends and me over to show us. He thought it was super funny to point it at everyone with his finger over the trigger with his defense being “the safety’s on”. He wouldn’t stop pointing his gun at people until I physically started to leave his house. 18-year-olds are not fully developed in the judgment-making portion of their brains. There is no way they fully understand the risks and responsibilities of carrying a firearm safely, especially around a school campus. Holy shit the world is scary and getting scarier.
