Reroll to pve server?

So I have played on both and will try to add more to some of the comments already here.

I am around lvl 40 on my priest. Soloing/questing has been great. Less competition and no worries of being ganked is awesome.

I feel like creating dungeon groups is about even with the pvp server despite the population and here is why:

I don't believe just spamming world or general chat is going to get you great results. If you are willing to search for players by hand, I feel that the PVE server players are generally more willing to run dungeons that the people on the pvp server were. Since the people are playing on the PVE server, they tend to like PVE elements of the game more - hence more willing to run dungeons. This is from MY experience, I'm not saying it is a hard and fast rule. Also a lot less max level people that are unwilling to run standard dungeons because the loot is beneath them.

That being said, tanks are still always in demand while dungeon-ing at all levels. If you want easy groups, make a tank and be willing to tank. Secondly healers, but to a much lesser extent. Luckily, I play mostly with my brother who is a tank. I'm a healer so we typically can have a dungeon group formed in under 10 mins and can also hand pick the class comp most of the time to maximize our chances of getting the loot we want. Since you are a priest, I'd suggest making great friends with a few tanks that play when you play and become their pocket healer.

No experience with the Bg's here. I hear horde is instant and alli has longer q's. I would THINK the pvp would be less competitive here, as most of the hardcore PVPer's would stick to the pvp server, but there will probably still be good players here as well. Raid gear tends to be strong in vanilla PVP, and if alli has a stronger raid presence, to me it makes sense that the alli may tend to be stronger overall here, but that is just me thinking out loud.

I will say that the AH seems fairly lackluster for making money while leveling. I did herbalism up to this point, and I don't think any stack of herb that I've gathered up to this point has fetched more than 1g. Maybe one stack of liferoot or swiftthistle, but I'm thinking no. Greens also don't seem to sell that well. A lot of expired auctions. To get money, I've basically just relied on grinding. I just hit 40 on my priest and am about 4 gold short of my mount, and then another few gold for my 40 skills. It tends to be a boring lvl 35-40 grind though. There are also very few low level pvp twinks, so blue items on the AH don't get you much money either.

My final advice would be if you just really love the world PVP aspect of the game and all the consequences that go with it, stay with the pvp server.

For pretty much all other purposes, the PVE server has been better for me in most ways. And I actually enjoy PVP so I'm not just a PVE carebear. I enjoy PVPing when I want to PVP
