Residence card to be needed for medical consultation on top of insurance card for medical consultation for foreigners

Oh my good God!

As a foriegner living in another country, you have to show the legally provided identification at a medical facility to recieve service?!

This is shocking "news"

Wait....you have to show ID and a health insurance card when you go to a hospital?!

You mean the identification that you have to carry with you everywhere you go as part of Japanese law? You have to reach in your pocket, take this card out, and show it someone if you want to recieve a medical service?

This is mind blowing stuff.

This is definetly newsworthy and a long-winded article should be written about it in English!

The nerve! Identification saying you are here legally.....and you have to show it someone to recieve a service. Wow...Just wow.
